More than 150 years later, Averna is still made using the infusion method right in the heart of Sicily. This Sicilian amaro is crafted using an original, time-honored recipe from 1868, the result of a meticulous infusion process.
The secret recipe
First, we carefully select specific herbs, roots, and spices. Then, we infuse the ingredients of our secret recipe with essential oils from bitter oranges and lemons until they blend well together.
Once the ideal balance of flavour and aroma is achieved, Averna is bottled and ready to enjoy!
